I am having a heart procedure in two days on 8/26/2021. I was required to get COVID-19 tested two days before the procedure in order for me to be allowed to have the procedure at Jupiter Medical Center. I have been tested multiple times during the last year for COVID-19. Not one of the times was it a pleasant experience. I felt the nurse was digging for treasure in the back of my skull. I am taking poetic license here, but the experience was never pleasant. Today I drove up to the testing location and a nurse named Jennifer performed the swab in my nostril test. I had warned her of my trepidation and previous unpleasant experiences. She was so gentle and yet, thorough. I felt the swab collected the same amount of sample as the other tests I had in the past, but this time, it was different. I didn't feel like patient # 56 of 80. There was no rush. Jennifer, thank you much for being patient, gentle and professional !!!! If I ever need another test, I will be seeking you out to administer it to me. Jeff Price

I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady at the front desk. She was very friendly and welcoming. The staff was very efficient and took care of me right away without making assumptions of my symptoms. The lady doctor was very caring . On my way out the young lady at the front desk wished me well. I would definitely recommend this urgent care. Prior to this I had gone to Total MD on okeechobee and I was not allowed to see a doctor because I showed symptoms of being sick. They told me I can be seen only if I don't have any symptoms. Why wud I go to a doctor if I'm well? Mdnow is the place to go. Very caring and professional staff!

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Palm Beach Gardens cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Palm Beach Gardens or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Palm Beach Gardens?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Palm Beach Gardens, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. • What is urgent care?

Urgent care are available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life's minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.

This only grades up to 5 stars. From arriving to checking in to meeting with the doctor I would have to give them a 10-20 star review. Anyone who goes to an Urgent Care clinic has to or should know that there's always going to be a wait even with an appointment. Sometimes caring for a patient takes longer than anticipated. As long as they take care of me in the same manner I am fine with waiting. The waiting wasn't as long as I thought that it would be with or without an appointment. The quality of care is unsurpassed with any other clinic. All the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I just can't say enough of great things about this clinic.

Best urgent care I have ever visited! The receptionist, nurse and physician assistant were all very caring, attentive, and professional. I stopped there after cutting my finger on my way back home to Tallahassee from St. Augustine. PA Otero was caring and gentle - he stitched me up and got me on my way home in under an hour!! I would have sat in an urgent care in Tallahassee for hours! I highly recommend this establishment. I only wish I lived closer. Thanks to all of you for taking great care of me!

- Verified patient on 6/7

Being from a different state, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm used to very long wait times in urgent care facilities but this was not the case here. I actually got in without 5 minutes of my appointment time. Everyone was very nice and concerned about my comfort. When the attending doctor decided that I needed to go to the hospital they refunded my co-pay. I don't think that would have happened where I'm from. Now that I will be living in Florida if I should need to go to urgent care again this one will be my first choice.

- Verified patient on 7/17

The doctor here is honestly amazing, he listens, cares and takes his time with his patients. After trying to find a good doctor I'm glad I finally found a great one. I had been to a few different doctors and I couldn't find the right treatment for me. Instead of rushing me out he listened and now I'm finally getting my health back. He found the right treatment for me. One of the other great parts is they also offer cosmetic treatments here like Botox, so I can fix my health and feel more confident by a doctor I can trust! The staff was also very friendly and helpful. He is so knowledgeable that he even teaches students. I highly recommend lifetime family urgent care!

GuideWell is a new urgent care facility in the area, but make no mistake they are on a different level than any other urgent care I've been to before. They far exceeded my expectations. From the cleanliness of the facility to the check in process, to the large board on the lobby with a list of prices for different services ( which they provide an extensive list of services and testing) to the wait time to receive medical care it was just easy and not frustrating. The entire staff is very professional and friendly. Everyone introduced themselves by their name and the nurses and PCCs that took care of me were simply awesome. Everything was explained in detail and they checked on me regularly. Their bedside manner is such a welcome change from many places these days. Dr. Tulsiak was very patient, caring and compassionate. Thank you to all that helped in my care from the girls at the front desk to the Radiologist to Stephanie, Charla, Wayne, and Josh. If I have a need to receive medical care in the future I will definitely come back to GuideWell vs a busy hospital ER.

I have been using restore urgent care for the past 4 years, regarding any medical issues I have had. The staff is incredible, starting at the front desk where Nicole does a phenomenal job, dealing with all the patients. She is extremely friendly and professional. Next is Trish, who is the best Nurse Practitioner I have ever met. She always makes the proper diagnosis, and prescribes what ever is necessary to cure my ailments. Recently, I've had the pleasure of being treated and helped by Yasmina, who is an outstanding Physicians Assistant. There is one problem I've noticed in recent visits. The staff is overwhelmed with the amount of patients coming in. I realize when Covid-19 broke out, people were reluctant to visit a hospital or any medical facility. Little by little people started visiting these facilities, because they needed care. Most were making appointments, and felt comfortable coming in to Urgent Care, especially, with the sanitizing of the facility, masks required, and terrific spacing of the chairs in the waiting room. Now, that more and more patients are coming in for care, in my opinion, changes have to be made to accommodate everyone. I suggest that more staff be hired. You need more than one NP and one PA on duty at all times. Currently, patients can make an appointment, but with all the walk in traffic, it is virtually impossible to handle the work load. Thank you for reading this survey.

- Verified patient on 10/23

I have only had to use this facility maybe 4 times since moving here 14yrars ago. Thank goodness I wasn't sick very often and you could call your family doctor to get an appointment. Well those days are gone. I was scheduled to go to yulee late afternoon for my covid vaccine but had had a terrible headache, diarrhea, but no fever. Kept calling the Millennium group to ask if I could still get my vaccine and I didn't hear back until after my time for shot. When they finally called back they said to go to urgent care on 8th street so I called and got an appointment for 5:15 which was marvelous. It was just like I remembered, wonderful doctor, extremely clean. And front office girls were extremely friendly. I missed out on getting my vaccine but I got tested for covid and it was negative thank goodness. I will definitely return to this facility.

This is the 3rd time I have been to this urgent care and the care just keeps getting better. Everyone from the time I checked in until the time I left provided exceptional care. The front desk staff was kind and professional, the X-ray technician was super nice and took excellent care of me. The nurse who triaged me was exceptional and the nurse practitioner was awesome with his level of care. Sucks feeling bad but these folks did the very best they could to make the situation as pleasant as possible.

- Verified patient on 12/3

Another amazing experience. I have been to this location several times lately with our family of 5. We had one of the kiddos with a broken arm to others not feeling well and each time everyone is so great. Especially Andrew, the med tech that helped us. He is so friendly and great with kids. A good bedside manner goes a long way. We really appreciate everything, Hardly no wait time tonight and we were in and out in 30 min. I will not go anywhere else for my urgent care needs. They are the best. Thank you again.

I broke my ankle Saturday afternoon. Finding in-network urgent care with x-ray capability on the weekend turned out to be a very complex task. Guidewell was a half hour away but was the only one that could help me. I'm glad I chose them and would make the trip again if I need urgent care in the future. The waiting room was clean, masks were required, staff was very friendly and compassionate, and my wait-time was less than 30 min (compared to 3-4 hours at other urgent cares). They did more to help me during that short visit (xrays, pain prescription, cast, and a referral!) than my primary care provider and orthopedic clinic did over the next 3 days combined. Thank you to the entire team at Ocoee Guidewell.

- Verified patient on 9/15

I was from out of town and had attempted to get care at other urgent care facilities with no success. From the moment I called to inquire about the services offered, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to my needs. The facility was clean and I felt safe especially during these uncertain times. I was able to check in and have a file started immediately and accepted my passport as ID without hesitation. The wait, although not immediate treatment, was very reasonable for the reason for my visit. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs care not requiring a visit to the emergency room.

- Verified patient on 7/16

This was my first visit to Coastal Urgent Care as I'm usually seen by my primary care provider. However, my doctor could not get me in for a few days and as bad as I was feeling I could not wait for an appointment. I was really unsure of what to expect from a walk-in clinic. I was seen by Ms. Shannon Chambers, ARNP. She treated me with nothing but respect from the moment I met her. I could tell right away by how she listened to my concerns that she really cares about providing the best available care for her patients. The entire staff deserve kudos for all the hard work they put in each and every day. If I ever need to go to a walk-in clinic this is where I'll come in the future. I highly recommend Coastal Urgent Care for your medical needs.

- Verified patient on 2/18

After trying 4 other urgent cares with in the area, I accidentally ended up here. I didn't know about it and it didn't show up on Google. I was looking to get a vivid test because, as we know, there are none available for purchase anywhere in the area. ALL of the other places were busy yes but all were rude and unhelpful. I was greeted by three friendly and helpful people at the front desk. It was busy but I was assured that they would get to me as soon as they could. Everyone from intake to the nurse and physician were amazingly professional. More importantly, they were kind helpful and genuinely concerned for my welfare. I will definitely utilize this location again should the need arise.

- Verified patient on 1/2

Came here for a foot fracture on a Saturday. I'm a physician and knew I would get care from well trained ER physicians here whereas most urgent care centers are staffed by PAs or nurse practitioners with varying degrees of training/experience and have had many suboptimal experiences with physician extenders in the past. I received efficient, high quality care including radiology services. My wife had seen Dr Consentino previously and she was great as was the nurse Devin who checked me in and multiple other staff members (radiology tech, different nurse who checked me out, waiting room staff). I love the billing transparency (they gave me an accurate estimate by phone when I called beforehand to ensure they had radiology services) and there's basically a "menu" with prices out front and outlines what services are included. Very clean. The broken American health care system would be much better if all facilities operated like this.

- Verified patient on 4/11

It's typically hard to describe an urgent care visit as wonderful, AND my visit was. I didn't have to wait long despite the facility being super busy. I was treated kindly, communicated with every step of the way. Every health care provider was vey competent and went above and beyond! Especially Mark W. PA who tested me thoroughly and listened to my concerns. I've been to Guidewell before and every experience and staff member has been impressionable, above and beyond. And I love the fact that they have diagnostics and work ups beyond what most walk in clinics usually provides. It saves me a trip to the emergency room when not needed. Clean, Fast, Friendly, Efficient, Compassionate and Complete! Totally recommend it! ❤️👍🏻🙌🏻

- Verified patient on 11/24

I have used many other urgent care's in my local area over the years and refuse to go back to any one of them. I am a critical care nurse I was referred by a nurse and my experience was wonderful. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional but in a very warm caring way. I will continue to use this facility and refer everyone I know there. The Nurse Practitioner Mary was phenomenal! I would love to have her as a primary. As a nurse I am more critical of healthcare providers and this clinic exceeded all my expectations and I was so very pleasantly surprised. We all know the turn health care has taken secondary to insurance companies interference and manipulation of the system but some how this clinic provides 5 star service and actually care about the patient. The women at the reception desk were so patient walking me thru the sign in registration and the kindness continued with every person I came in contact with during my appointment. I can't recommend them highly enough. That is where I will go, where I will send my husband, son and anyone I care for.

- Verified patient on 11/18

Today was my third trip in, 2nd follow up after my initial visit. The wait time wasn't great but it's to be expected as a walk-in at urgent care. What really stands out to me is every person I came into contact with was so nice and helpful and genuinely interested in how I was feeling and doing. I felt heard. Those that helped on my precious two visits remembered me and were also nice and happy to see me and hear I was doing well. I am so thankful for how pleasantly my experiences went and how comfortable everyone made me feel, despite me having an issue that I was embarrassed and uncomfortable about.

- Verified patient on 6/29

I prefer this particular GuideWell facility over any other urgent care in my area. I literally drive approximately 25 to 30 minutes to get to this urgent care when I have quite a few urgent cares within 10 minutes of my home. The staff is so welcoming; friendly and professional. They always seem like they genuinely care. Stephanie, the triage nurse, has taken care of me at least twice and she's always the sweetest person. Dr. Faza is a kind gentleman who explained everything and made me feel at ease. Great bedside manner.

- Verified patient on 12/15

My husband and I had an excellent experience today. We went for a COVID antibody test and they were able to take us together. There was no wait and the staff checking us in was very efficient. Every aspect of our experience today was excellent, from the nurses to the blood draws to the time spent with the doctor. I think Guidewell is the BEST urgent care facility in the area!!! Dr. Maxwell is excellent. He spent a lot of time with us and answered every question we had regarding vaccines, therapeutics, antibodies, etc. Again, they're the best urgent care in the area.

- Verified patient on 10/9

My nurse was great she was nice patient and addressed all my concerns and didn't hurt me when giving shot or swabs it was greatly appreciated. The doc was Katie she is the best doc I wish she was my primary she was patient, though, kind she knew what she was talking about she didn't rush she checked everything. Even the girls in the front they were nice and they didn't act all scevey because I was sick. They made me feel comfortable. Dr urgent care on us highway 19 is the place to go everything just walk in no apt needed it was very convenient. I recommend them to everyone.

When you're in need of medical care for a non-life threatening condition, trust the urgent care providers nearby. And whenever possible, make it easier by scheduling and managing your visit with Solv.

Urgent Care Guide

In a recent survey conducted with the Urgent Care Association, Solv found that patients were waiting an average of 24 days for appointments with their primary care provider. In a world of instant gratification, consumers demand more. They demand now. If you want to watch a movie, you download it in minutes or stream it instantly. If you need groceries, you can pick up your phone and have them delivered to you within the hour. If you need restaurant reservations, you find one with availability, book online, walk in minutes later and sit right down. Healthcare shouldn't be any different.

That's why urgent care has been growing at a faster pace than any other healthcare service in the United States. And it is why healthcare consumers search for "urgent care" more than 5x more than "primary care" or "family doctor," combined. These consumers are highly actionable, searching with high intent terms like "urgent care near me." They want same day access to quality healthcare providers when they are sick or injured - after hours, one weekends and on holidays - without the cost and inconvenience of the emergency room.

Urgent care centers typically treat minor illnesses like the flu, sinus infections and strep throat, as well as injuries like bone fractures and sprains, cuts, scrapes and burns, making these clinics ideal for diagnosing and treating non-emergent healthcare needs. And at a growing rate urgent care clinics are offering preventative care services including annual physicals and well visits, flu shots and other immunizations and vaccines, taking on the role of primary care provider for the tens of millions of consumers that don't have one.

For kids there are special pediatric urgent care centers, usually open after hours for patients between the ages of 1 and 18.

Urgent Care Services & Pricing

Urgent care centers, which are part of the walk-in clinic healthcare category, are a convenient resource for consumers needing treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Services that you would normally receive at your primary care office are usually available at an urgent care including annual and school physicals, flu shots and immunizations, treatment for illnesses including colds, flu stomach pains, sinus and ear infections and more. You can also be seen for injuries such as burns, bites, sprains and breaks - things that you might first thing to go to the emergency room vs urgent care, but you'll have a shorter wait and smaller bill at the urgent care. As for cost, without insurance, you should expect between $100-140 for your visit, plus the cost of any labs, tests or images. With insurance, urgent care will be similar to seeing a specialist with applicable co-pay.

Insurance & Payments

Nearly all urgent care centers take commercial insurance and many (if not most) will take medicare. As such if you have insurance coverage, you can expect the financial experience to be similar to visiting a specialist where you have a co-pay, usually $35-50, due at the time of the visit. Any additional lab work, x-rays or other tests performed will be billed against your insurance first and any supplemental balance due will be invoiced to you after the fact. Without insurance, you'll pay a visit fee between $100-140 at the time of your visit. This is typically 25-50% more than your primary care provider, but usually the convenience is well worth the additional cost. If you are interested in a telehealth or video visit, your cost could be as much as 50% less than an urgent care, you could be diagnosed and prescribed medication and you'll never have to leave your home.

Urgent Care Hours & Wait Times

Every urgent care center - even those part of the same group or brand - may have different hours. While they are meant to be conveniently accessible during times when your primary care provider is not, that's subjective and highly variable. A traditional formula, however, is that an urgent care is open 6 to 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm. That could shift to nearly any 8-12 hour period between 7 am and 10 pm. You'll even find some clinics open 24 hours a day, similar to an emergency room. As for wait time, most patients report waiting between 15-45 minutes on average, but that can certainly vary, as well. It's usually best to find an urgent care near you to either confirm the hours online, or call the clinic directly to verify. Or, you can book a same day doctor appointment online with Solv.
